For Colby's 4th Birthday, he had a little friend's party followed by family coming at the end. He chose to have a pumpkin cake so we went with a Costume Party. He had a great time celebrating with his friends. They decorated sugar cookies, went on a treasure hunt, played pin the spider on the web, and lastly hit the pumpkin pinata. It was so much fun to have all of the kids have fun together. He loved all of his gifts and even liked passing out his party favors for all the kids.

pinata time!
This is a very short clip of Colby hitting the pinata.
These were all the little kids that came to play. Marissa (princess), Elle (princess), Dayson (raccoon), Kade (Batman), Konnor (bear), Kaitlyn (TigerLily), Colby (Buzz Lightyear)
Aunt Lisa & Tatum (tinkerbell)
Each year I have let him choose what kind of cake he wants. And this year it was a pumpkin cake. Probably the most basic cake I have made for him.

Opening his birthday cards. He LOVES receiving mail!
We let Colby choose where to eat for his birthday and he wanted to eat at McDonald's so he could play on the playground. I guess pretty simple for right now.

Tot Dance
Tim & Cara had some neighbor kids over for a mini dance. They had a great time dancing for about 1 1/2hours. We joked calling it a "toddler rave." Colby prefers to do some break dance moves.

First Soccer Game!
This year we signed Colby up for soccer. The 3 year old age group has 2 sports to choose from soccer or t-ball, we all decided to go with soccer. The first couple of practices were a little rough, but now they are all doing much better. Colby is even enjoying himself! There are 10 kids on his team and they have a game once a week.

Practicing kicking a goal with Coach Billy.
We just got his uniform, the day before the first game. Here he is proudly showing it off. We got lucky getting blue for a color.
FIRST GAME!!! Colby & his team! A few of the kids were out of town so only 6 played in the first game.
warming up before the game
If you were to watch a game, it just looks like a bunch of confusion. They weren't sure which way to go, but they didn't do too bad for the first game.

Here is Dad helping to assist the team at the game.
I believe this is the second goal Colby kicked in. He was so excited after the game, and kept telling us how fun it was.

Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue...
Bryan & his friend, Brock, always have funny ideas for things to do when we get together. Bryan had not seen Brock since Memorial Day since Brock is now in the Navy. Since Brock was able to get Columbus Day off he flew out to see his family. First the guys wanted to sail for Columbus Day but then decided to build and sail mini ships.

The guys with the final product. Brock, Hal & Bryan
They took their boats out to the pool and had a race to the other side.
Obviously they don't move fast, so the guys had to blow them across the water. Well, they decided next year we would try to actually sail a boat instead.

Pumpkin Boy
Colby's Sunbeam class had a birthday party for the kids who had birthdays in October. He had a great time playing with the kids and celebrating. There are only 5 kids in the class and he is the only boy. It doesn't seem to bother him though.
This is a mask Colby made at the party.

Cousins
Just random pictures of Colby and his only cousin on my side of the family. Colby loves having Tatum come and play. He likes to bring her toys & sing to her.
