Halloween

Halloween had just beautiful weather this year for trick-or-treating. It wasn't too cold and definitely not hot. Colby wanted to be Buzz again this year. We tried to talk him into a different costume but he really wanted to be Buzz. Colby picked out a monkey costume for Carson. We thought he made a pretty cute monkey.

the end of our adventures. Both boys were ready for bed. Good thing we did our trick-or-treating 3 different times that night. We took a break in the middle for a party.

Colby's 5th Birthday

Colby recently celebrated his 5th birthday. We asked him over the summer what kind of cake he wanted and he replied a Buzz Lightyear cake. Well, I made the mistake of looking at images of Buzz cakes online while Colby was in the same room. Over the next 3 months, he insisted that I make the cake you see below. I have never worked with fondant, let alone made a cake with 3 levels. Well, it is not perfect but Colby loved it and that is what matters.

The birthday boy!!! Colby is busy watching the other kids play at the park, so he wouldn't look at the camera. We just had some relatives come and play at the park and eat cake with us this year.

Colby even helped to make his cake. Bryan & Colby made the clouds. Colby help make the fondant balls below the planet, which he pressed craters in with his fingers.

October Fun

Here are some highlights of fun things we did in October. What better way to start the month out with Disneyland and finish with Halloween. Fun Adventures: Disneyland, zoo, museum, lots of parties, lots of Fall Festivals, birthdays, costumes, and Halloween.

Carson attended his first birthday party for someone who was not related. It was a friend's baby's 1st birthday at the park.

Colby thought the cupcakes at the party were pretty cool!

Having a blast at the park

Colby recently started putting this hat on Carson. As long as you put it on backwards Carson is cool with it staying on despite it being a little large.

Carson update. We all went to Carson's 9 month well-check. He weighed in just over 20lbs and 29inches. So weight 50th percentile and height 75th percentile. The doctor looks at Bryan and says he definitely has his parents genes tall and thin. Haha. We love our pediatrician. He always makes the kids laugh and is really energetic.

For October Break, Colby went and stayed with his Holladay Grandparents in Show Low. He had a great 2 days there before we came and met up with him.

Colby & Carson loved playing in the playhut. Colby managed to get Carson to follow him through the tunnels. Colby just loves having a brother to play with.

Disneyland!

On the last day of our trip we went to Disneyland! It was a Saturday and it wasn't very busy. The longest wait was 25 minutes because the ride broke down for a little bit. It was Halloween Time at Disneyland. Colby was ecstatic to see all of the jack-o-lanterns, it is by far his favorite holiday.

We have our ticket and we are ready to go!

First ride was Peter Pan. Even Carson was enjoying himself.

loving the teacups. Bryan and Colby spun really fast.

Storybook Land

While we were at Disneyland, Colby got his driver's license. It rained/sprinkled for about a minute while we waited to drive the cars.

We loved all of the little details of the Halloween at Disneyland.

It's A Small World! Carson was laughing at the beginning of the ride and by the end he was asleep (it was his nap time).

Bryan & Colby on Gadgets Go Coaster. Colby loved all of the big rides at Disneyland.

One of his favorite rides was Haunted Mansion because they had pumpkins, bats & ghosts everywhere.

Going across to Frontier's Island

Even at 8 months, Carson loved Disneyland. He loved all the lights & colors.

Colby's favorite decoration there.

Getting our Mickey hat! Colby picked out a hat from the Mad Hatter and put his name on it. He is pretty sure they spelled it wrong (it's in cursive).

Carson loved the carousel ride. Colby was happy with just about every ride there and after being there from 8am to 10:30pm, he wasn't ready to be done.

We loved the Celebration Parade. The characters came and took you from the crowd to dance with them.

Colby was so excited to dance in the parade. (video of it; Colby is on the right with a blue shirt & Mickey ears)

The main entrance...Carson is asleep...Colby is sad to go. We had an awesome time. The kids were amazing. Carson took his normal naps and Colby was ready to go.
