Just Keep Swimming...

In June we signed Colby up for swim lessons. He absolutely loved going, which was a shock. I think he really liked his teacher. The week before swim lessons, he didn't even want to step into the pool pass the second step. Now he is swimming & jumping in the pool.

Random Saturday, Bryan and his brother's families ended up swimming at the same time. So we have Kenny's family & Sean's Family (Cara was at girls camp and wasn't back yet)

Random Summer

June was filled with lots of random events. I was busy taking 2 summer school classes. I still have one to finish up. Bryan has been busy working away. The kids are just having random fun indoors or at the pool. Colby lately loves to listen to music and sing along to hip hop. Carson still is a laughing boy.

So we planted a garden back in March consisting of strawberries, onions & tomatoes. Well, the tomatoes are the only thing that survived. I think we picked them too soon because they were so sour, so I was told (not a tomato fan, myself).

One night before bedtime, Colby & Bryan had a great time using Colby's Carblocks to build a space station and space ship.

Many Days of May

Bryan & I found this shop in Scottsdale called Pop The Soda Shop. They have just about any soda made worldwide sold here. If you have ever had a specialized drink from another state and you can't find it locally, you probably will be able to find it here. Bryan's brother Skip is serving a mission in North Carolina. The soda to drink there is Cheerwine. He talks about it non-stop so we had to get some for Bryan's family to try. It tastes like a cherry Dr. Pepper or cherry Pepsi.

One of my patients brought me a Red Velvet Cupcake from Sprinkles. I thought it was the sweetest thing but funny to bring to a dental office. I really appreciated the fact that my patient was so thoughtful and appreciative of my services. It was delicious too!

Carson is 4 month old now. He weighs 16lbs 8oz and is 26.25 inches long. He is in the 90-95th percentile for his age. He seems so big but he is smaller than Colby was at this age. Colby was 18lbs at 4 months. Some new things about Carson. He has started eating rice cereal. His bottom two teeth started coming in about a week ago. He has found his voice and just talks all the time. He loves to laugh and smile. He hasn't rolled over yet but he rolls half and spins around in a circle so he can see what is going on.

New York Trip

Bryan and his business partners went to New York the end of May for TC Disrupt, a technology convention. They spent a week there pitching their company, meeting other people in their industry, as well as attending hack day where they created a new company in one day. He had a great time meeting new people and helping to improve upon their company. (These pictures are courtesy of Tim's camera, group effort in taking them)

The first day in NY, they took part in Hack Day. They spent 24 hours creating a new business.

This is a speedtest Bryan took to check the speed of the internet. On average internet connection in Phoenix is about 20down & 8up. He was amazed by the speed of 69down & 50up.

Their last day a few of them did a little touring. Bryan went and briefly visited Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Wall Street, Manhattan Temple, Metropolitan Opera & Central Park. Their room overlooked from a distance the Statue of Liberty. Here Bryan is standing across from the LDS Manhattan Temple.

More of May

We had a lot of fun in May. Played around town, went to the zoo & the splash park, went to Show Low to visit our Holladay grandparents. Bryan went to New York for a business trip and technology convention.

At the end of May, the boys & I went to Show Low for a couple days. Here is Carson helping Grammi make a DQ treat for a customer.

Mom's Birthday

To celebrate my mom's birthday, we all went out to dinner at Nandos. It was fun to get together as a family. Bryan & Wes were there too just not in the picture.

Lisa, Wes & Tatum also shared with us some exciting news. There are expecting there second baby in November. Tatum and the new little one will be about 15 months apart. They shared the news by having Tatum wear a shirt that said something like this: one the front it said "I have a secret" on the back "I'm going to be a big sister." I know I didn't get it right but I'm pretty close. We are excited for their family.
