Each December we have been luck to have something happen to our home. We are so thankful for our home, and the many adventures it brings. So it is the 5th December we have lived in our home and we have had to replace or repair something every December anywhere from the A/C unit, washing machine, garbage disposal, and you name it. So it was no surprise that December came and we had a problem...we came home from church to find out that we had a water leak. Colby pointed to the ceiling and said "what is that ball doing up there?" I thought it was just some light reflecting and soon we found out we had a water leak from our upper stairs master bathroom.
Bryan quickly assessed what the problem was by tearing into our dining room ceiling. This is the picture after breaking the "ball" on our dining room ceiling. Down came the water...
After demolition. We still need to repair the ceiling but at least it wasn't too bad.
We found out that the overflow on our bathtub seal had dissolved over time. So each time the water was splashed into the overflow, it was accumulating in our dining room ceiling until it eventually filled a spot. Also the day before Colby took a pretty full bath...oops. Well at least this December wasn't too expensive of a repair...at least we think so.
The video is of Bryan opening up the ceiling and assessing the damage.
Obviously this is not of our home problems, but instead my car. I was at work on the 30th, when a sweet patient accidentally backed into my parked car while I was working on another patient in the office. Luckily, she was honest enough to admit her mistake and it has all been taken care of without any problems.
