The end of April/beginning of May we went on a short 3 day trip to San Diego. We stayed with our friends, Brock & Melanie. We had a great time hanging out and enjoying the cooler weather. We were able to visit my family that lives in the area while we were there.
The first day Bryan worked while Melanie, the kids & I went to a park and played and meet up with my Aunt Sandy. In the late afternoon, we went to Coronado Island and walked around.

After going to Coronado, we went to dinner & to the Mormon Battalion Museum down by Old Town. It was fun to see how the saints moved across the U.S. and helped in the war.

Colby was able to hold the supplies the soldiers wore. He thought it was so much fun to dress up like a soldier.

The next day we went to La Jolla beach. It was really chilly and a bit windy too! The kids didn't mind and neither did the dads, who went surfing for the first time!

Some people behind us left their food out while they went away for a little bit. The seagulls attacked there food. They broke right into their bags and began to make a mess. Here Colby is trying to chase them away.
Before we headed home on Sunday, we stopped by and saw my cousin Haley & her husband in Oceanside. Then we went to my Grandma's house in Vista and my cousin Lynn & her husband came over too. It was great to see all our family and introduce them to our new little one.

Colby is down at the back of my grandma's backyard, he wanted to pick some lemons to make lemonade.
We had a great time on our brief family trip and can't wait to go again soon! The baby did great on the car ride & so did Colby.

I love the picture of Colby and Marissa when we were in Coronado! So cute! We had so much fun with you guys, can't wait to do it again!!
I thought it was pretty cute of them too! We had a great time too. I'll most likely be back the end of July. I'm not sure if Bryan will be able to come or not. Hope to see you then.
