Disneyland Vacation

We took Colby on his first trip to Disneyland this summer. I have been wanting to go for the past 4 years, we finally decided to make it happen. Terri & Skip came along to help us with Colby. We had an awesome time. On Monday, we spent the entire day at Disneyland from open to close (8am-midnight). Terri took Colby for a nap. It was indeed the happiest place on earth for all ages.

We have been getting Colby excited for months to go to Disneyland. We would ask him silly questions like "where does Lightning McQueen live" and he would say "Disneyland." Here he is looking out the window at Disneyland on the way to the elevator.

Trying to patiently wait for dad, Grammi & Skippy to hurry so we could get to Disneyland.

Our first ride was in Peter Pan's Flight in Fantasyland.

Riding on a ship

2nd was Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

3rd was Mad Tea Party. Colby held onto his Nemo fruit snacks the entire time and loved the ride. He wanted to go on it again. Bryan & Skip were spinning the tea cup at max speed.

Our 4th ride, I know what were we thinking, was the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Yes, Colby did go on the ride. He only cried because he lost his gold fish when the ride went downhill and the bear was a little scary.

Colby got to drive his own "orange" car at Autopia. It was the closest car to orange, his favorite color.

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters was his favorite ride at Disneyland. He is really into Buzz right now. We rode it 3 times.

Here everyone is shooting a laser gun at the targets.

A little while after we rode the Buzz ride, we got to meet the real Buzz Lightyear. Colby was really excited and even showed Buzz the Buzz figurine in his hand.

Skip, Bryan & I went paddling on the Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes in Critter Country after riding on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I think we were the fastest paddlers they have ever had. We past up almost 2 canoes and the steamboat. Skip & I kept getting soaked by the little girl in front of us.
Colby is waiting patiently to ride the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. He also rode this one 3 times.

Here we are riding in our honey pot going to Pooh's birthday party.
Colby walked up all of the steps on Tarzan's Treehouse, this used to be the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. It has been changed just a little.
Watching the Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams.

Trying really hard to pull the sword from the stone
Terri & I had a fast pass to ride Splash Mountain at 8pm. Nobody else wanted to join us, they were too afraid to get wet. Terri bought a $7 poncho & shared the back of it with me. A breeze caught her poncho on the first dip resulting in wet clothes. I only got a little wet.
I think this was our longest wait, Casey Jr. Circus Train. The train was so slow, but Colby loved it.

Loving the ride
